What is our mission?

Our mission in Haiti is primarily focused on carrying out the admonition God has given us as believers to help those that are in need, especially orphans in their distress.
Such distress is particularly acute in the country of Haiti.  While it was once a beautiful Caribbean vacation hotspot, years of violence, political corruption, poverty and disease have left the country and many of its children desperate for hope and restoration.

We believe God is ushering in a new season for Haiti, in which the church responds to the heart of God, and takes up the call to bring this hope and restoration through the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

Our current and near-term focus is on helping one orphanage in particular that the Lord has connected with New Hope.

Maison d’Entants par la Foi

which is translated "House of Children by the Faith", is the orphanage we have primarily been assisting.  It is located in Carrefour, a heavily populated city near Haiti's capital of Port au Prince.  It currently houses over 100 orphans and disinherited children.

The orphanage was started in 1988 by Rev. Jean Polistin, a faithful Haitian pastor who was led of the Lord to start taking in orphans and other needy children for years before starting the orphanage.  While Rev. Polistin is still the pastor of the associated church and is very involved with the children, his daughter, Célianie Valmond, oversees the orphanage and associated primary school.
